Let’s create something together.

I love my work with what I call "messy perfectionists" - people with anxiety, trauma, obsessive thinking, and/or neurodivergence who are also high in conscientiousness and rule-governed behavior.

I use a depth-oriented ACT approach to help my clients live freer, more authentic lives. My work also explores how social structures - patriarchy, capitalism, white supremacy - impact my clients’ experience of the world.

I love writing about this kind of work and I value collaborating with other clinicians.

Encompass is more than just my clinic name; it's an ethos. I want to build a community that encompasses a variety of therapist approaches, working with a diverse client population.

REFERRALS

Who fits well here

I work well with clients who want skills and are willing to go deeper to understand how they got to where they are - someone open to shifting their way of being rather than simply developing coping skills.

Clients who want accountability without rigid structure will fit in well here; I don't come in with an agenda, but I do keep the threads of our conversation alive in my mind.

Clients don't need full insight to belong here; figuring that out together is part of the work.

As for my training, I am deeply trained in ACT and DBT, with years of mentorship in feminist, relational, and interpersonal approaches. A lot of the time, I'm doing a functional analysis of behavior - working to understand how patterns get started and keep going.

The therapy relationship is one of the largest drivers of change in my work, and I also incorporate skills-building when appropriate.

SUPERVISION

Helping early career therapists find their footing.

I love helping early career therapists hone their skills, develop their clinical judgment, and improve client outcomes. I approach supervision attending to you as a whole person: exploring the ways your life, history, and experiences impact your clinical work.

Regardless of your primary theoretical orientation, we can increase your confidence and skill integrating behavioral therapy with psychodynamic or relational approaches.

I have provided BBS-approved supervision toward licensure hours and am available for weekly supervision as you accumulate your hours. Whether you're looking to join Encompass Therapy as an associate therapist or work with me as an outside supervisor for your established caseload, reach out and we can discuss options.

SPEAKING & TRAINING

Bringing ACT to your organization.

I have done speaking events for the Association of Contextual Behavioral Sciences on addressing burnout symptoms from the ACT perspective and led trainings for a mixed cohort of supervisees at SF Therapy Now on the foundations of ACT.

"Your presentation was amazing and so helpful! I took a whole page of notes and will be pondering all this. Please consider coming back — I'd love to learn more."

I’m looking to grow

If you want the benefits of private practice - the autonomy to make your schedule and choose your own clients - but not worry about the hassles of running a practice, I'd love to support you.

I'm particularly interested in clinicians who:

● Share a commitment to social justice

● Work relationally

● Want to be part of a thoughtful, growing practice

● Are looking for more than just a caseload

Next to the chair, there are brown boots, a round red bag with a bottle inside, cream yarn, and pink yarns, all on the forest ground covered with leaves and twigs.

I want to build something with people, not just for them.
